2 AM

I'd never seen such beauty in his eyes,
filled with love, regret and smoke from the cigarette.
tears trying to be held back like
a ship sailing through a tempest.
from his black, juicy thick lips he said,
"You're the sun, I'm just a silhouette,
dazzling and blinding, you take away my
colors.
go over the horizon, I need to
see myself again."
His silence spoke to me for hours,
I'd never heeded him with such
devotion before.
